What we learn
A balanced curriculum for growing minds
Our carefully planned early childhood program covers reading, math, writing, science, critical thinking, self-care and social skills.
Circle time
We start each morning with an affirmation, songs, stories, the calendar and weather. Children practice taking turns, listening and sharing their thoughts.
Language & literacy
Listening, speaking, reading and writing through books, songs, storytelling and word games. Children learn the names and sounds of letters.
Math & science
Counting, sorting, shapes and patterns, plus hands-on exploration of plants, animals, water, sand and playdough.
Social & emotional growth
A warm, supportive space where children learn about themselves, manage their feelings and practice sharing and cooperation.
Fine & gross motor skills
Playdough, drawing, scissors, puzzles and beads for little hands. Running, climbing, dancing and ball games for growing bodies.
Neuro exercises
Playful balance, coordination, memory and attention activities that support brain development in an age-appropriate way.

Chikitos is my calling. Every day I create a calm, loving space where little ones feel safe, try new things and grow at their own pace.
Our group stays small on purpose, so I can truly know every child: what makes them laugh, what they are curious about and what they need to feel at home.

How do I enroll my child?
Book a tour using the form below or call us at (650) 445-1123. We’ll show you around and answer all your questions.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Chikitos is licensed by the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division, license #414004225. You can look up any licensed facility on the state’s Care Facility Search.
How many children are in one group?
There are never more than 12 children in one group.
What are your hours?
We are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:30 pm.
Can you accommodate special meals?
Yes. Tell us about your child’s eating habits and we’ll prepare meals for them separately.
Can children bring their own toys?
Yes, children can bring their own toys, but our staff can’t be responsible for keeping them safe.
